<description>Many of us are focused on our health. Most of the time, when we think of the word "health," we think of it in a purely phisiological way. But our mental health is just as important for our well being as our physical health is.
This week, Elliott sits down with Samantha Ariza to discuss mental health. Samantha is a mental health clinician as well as a college professor who works to help people deal with the mental health issues they are facing and counseling them in order to help them live their best lives possible. Elliott and Samantha talk about what mental health is, how counseling works, what she is able to do and not do as a clinician, and how we can get our mental health in check and balance.
In addition to her work as a mental health clinician, Samantha serves at Christ Fellowship in our worship band as a vocal worship leader. You've probably seen her on stage every Sunday. She also is a leader in The Bridge Youth Ministries, where she currently helps to run our Bridge: Downtown location. She has a been a member of Christ Fellowship since she was a teenager.
This is Samantha Ariza's story.
